Walter Hunt completes the trifecta with his 1945 APBA narrative

In the past, I have posted about Walter Hunt’s re-imagining of the 1943 season in a short-season format. He followed that up with a 1944 narrative in the same format.

Walter has now completed a 62-game season with the 1945 season. That includes re-drafting into a 10-team, two division format with completely different team names. An alternative universe kind of thing.

Hunt certainly knows how to write. Click here to see his writing accomplishments outside the APBA world). It’s no surprise that his replay documentation is always top notch.

Personally, I was happy to Phil Cavaretta win the batting crown. My parents would tell me stories about him. Another real-life Cub, Andy Pafko came in second in hitting too!

Here’s the link to view the full recap of Walter’s 1945 narrative. It’s well worth the read!

Thanks Walter!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as the BBW Boys of Summer APBA League since 2014. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.
