“Lovable Losers” LBS tourney date set for October 28!

The Schulz brothers are at it again.

Ken and Darren have scheduled their ninth Pittsburgh-based APBA tournament named after their mother. The Linda B. Schulz Memorial APBA Baseball Tournament is set to roll on October 28, 2023.

Greetings LBS Family!

We hope this new year is off to a great start for you and your loved ones. We are a little over 7 months away from hearing the dice rattle again at the township building in Slippery Rock, PA!

  • What:  Linda B. Schulz Memorial APBA Baseball Tournament IX
  • When: October 28, 2023 starting at 9:00am – Be there by 8:45 please! 
  • Where:  Slippery Rock Township Community Building 155 Branchton Rd, Slippery Rock, PA 16057

Cost: $20 per entrant

Theme

Our theme this year will be “Lovable Losers” which means that ALL MLB teams must be a below .500 winning percentage to participate. Teams from the 2020 Apba Set are the only ones not eligible as all retired championship teams are above .500.

Team Selection:  First come first serve

Food/Beverage:  Water/Lemonade/Soft Drinks provided.  Lunch/Snacks provided as part of the cost to register.

Guidelines and Rules are at this link. Please email the tournament directors with any questions, concerns, etc. We attempt to be as thoroughly clear as possible, but challenges nearly always exist. We will do our best to make the best decisions. We encourage you to print them out and keep on hand as you prepare to manage your selected team.

“We do not have a limit on how many can sign up.” That sounds like a challenge to me. The Schulz brothers already have over 30 participants signed up.
