Steve’s Card APBA Computer gets redone

Steve Stein’s online tool appropriately named Steve’s APBA Card Computer has gotten a makeover.  The new version does not rely on the Java platform.  I’ve noticed that it’s been getting a lot of use this summer and my guess is that Steve has decided to cut the ties to Java since it has been a source of issues with some out of date clients.

Steve says that the 2015 season has now been loaded in the system and more seasons data will be added later.

You can access Steve’s APBA Card Computer here.

I’ve been giving it a test ride and so far, it works great.  I tend to rely on it for a good read on APBA hitting cards.  For pitching not so much only because the APBA cardmakers have their set rules each year it seems.

thanks Steve.  I know a lot of APBA players use this tool!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as the BBW Boys of Summer APBA League since 2014. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

  1. Hello Tom,

I use the site when trying to pick tournament teams, or decide where to go on my next replay.

I tried to use the links to email Steve, because I wish he could make a “team search” option, but get an error message that I can’t use the links.

For example. I am strongly considering doing a 2015 replay next, and if you don’t mind another season following of the Cubs, but trying to remember all the players and check them out is a bit of work doing it a player at a time.

  2. What is the main reason people use this tool?Do they try to make cards for the current season or just want to mess around with the stats to see what the cards look like?
