Just last week, my buddy Brando helped Sandy Koufax to the first no-hitter of my 1966 NL replay. That game was on April 30th in my replay.
Well, Brando’s done it again in just under a week. He emailed me this week telling me he had a no-hitter in his (get this) 1930 replay. To be fair, it was against the Red Sox.
Brando writes:
Wes Ferrell pitches first no-hitter of the season against the Boston Red Sox.
In real life he gave up 2 runs on 10 hits and won his 21st game. It was his 20th win of the year in APBA.
If memory serves, Ferrell is a AZ in 1930. He’s one of few A starters in the set.

For all our sakes, I hope this trend doesn’t continue and his pitchers start giving up the long ball. :)
