APBA Footballers rolling in Canton this weekend!

APBA Football tourney

For APBA Football fans, this is the weekend!  Carefully organized by the APBA Football Club’s Geoff Giordano, the APBA Football Tournament in Canton, Ohio (yes, the Pro Football Hall of Fame) is under way.

APBA Football fans can get updates on the APBA Football Club’s Facebook page or read up on it at its website

Thanks Geoff for all your hard work.  Good luck to everyone there!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as the BBW Boys of Summer APBA League since 2014. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

2 Comments:

  1. The real thanks go to Greg Barath, John Cochrane, Ray Dunlap, Pat McGregor, Rebecca Petersen, Robert Tassinari, Gilles Thibault, Greg Wells and Jerry Zajack for making it a competitive and informative gathering.

  2. Back for 2023, we’re rebooting our APBA Football-exclusive event in Canton. If you’re thinking about getting back into football, or picking it up for the first time, there will be no better place to be fully immersed in a learning environment.

When: Aug. 26-27, 2023 (tentaitive as of Aug. 4, 2022)

Cost: $70 per person per day (tentative)

Format: Single-elimination; basic or master decided by players before each game

Theme: TBD. Looking to divide players into two or three tracks of winners, so might feature college track and pro track, or tracks for vintage original cards and modern cards. Might also break the tracks down by era (1940s-1950s; 1960s-1980s; 1990-present)

Updates: More details to come on our Facebook and Instagram pages and our YouTube channel (note, we are the APBA Football Club, not the APBA Football Club II).
