APBA Football Club documents APBA Football via video

It’s been a few weeks since Geoff Giordano from the APBA Football Club started posting his series of Evolution of APBA Football videos but I just got around to watching them.  Great stuff!

Since I played the APBA Football Game as a kid, I’m posting the above video of Geoff’s breakdown of the 1970’s APBA Football Game and the transitions in that era but he does it for other decades too.  Each video discusses the changes in the contents, formatting of cards and boards as well as touching on rule changes.

For those interested, check out the APBA Football Club YouTube channel (which by the way, has other awesome videos).  Here are direct links to the Evolution of APBA Football videos by the APBA Football Club.

Admittedly, I still have a few more in the series to watch.  There’s a lot of content in these videos.  This kind of effort by Geoff goes a long way to preserve the history of the APBA Game and should be recognized.  Great job!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as the BBW Boys of Summer APBA League since 2014. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

One Comment:

  1. Glad you’re enjoying the videos. We might condense a couple of them down the road. And many thanks to Greg Barath and Mark DerGarabedian for contributing videos, as well. Greg in particular is posting super tutorial videos detailing how he uses various innovations and plays “situational” football. And after the National Card Football League’s successful season, the APBA football community really has a lot of momentum.
