It won’t be long till we start seeing the APBA baseball products associated with the 2024 MLB season. Via the APBA Games newsletter, this is the tentative schedule when you can expect to see some action.
Monster Card Monday: 1955 Don Newcombe
This week, it’s Don Newcombe from the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers. ‘Newk’ went 20-5 with a 3.20 ERA. He had incredible control allowing only 38 walks over 233 2/3 innings.

Charles Cox posted the original 1966 Dick Allen on Facebook and boy, it sure looked good! As some of you know, I have been off and on replaying the 1966 NL season (no comments from the peanut gallery, Bob) and through the All-Star break, Allen has been having himself an MVP season.

You can’t tell me that the visual of a bunch of guys in kilts swinging baseball bats at flying pigs didn’t pop in your head. Of course, the way Kerry hit whilst dropping 4 of 5 at Philly you know the Pigs are perfectly safe.
Replay Insider #35: A Fielding Stat Keeper: Errors Chart
I have never totally recorded detailed fielding statistics for a replay. The number of putouts and assists and the work required to compile stats like assists and putouts is overwhelming and would turn a replay into tedium, not enjoyment.
