Jim has a very detailed wrapup with many cool photos, standings, stats, and stories.  It’s worth reading.  Don’t miss the story about Fred Johnson who rolled his first game since 1959!

The date for the next tournament TCT-IV, is already set.  Mark your date for October 3, 2015!!

Thanks to Jim and congrats again to Andy!!

I am an IT consultant by day and an APBA media mogul by night. My passions are baseball (specifically Illini baseball), photography and of course, APBA. I have been fortunate to be part of the basic game Illowa APBA League since 1980 as well as the BBW Boys of Summer APBA League since 2014. I am slogging through a 1966 NL replay and hope to finish before I die.

3 Comments:

  1. Couldn’t help notice that dad Curt was 1-7 in Andy’s division! :)

    • Tom, yes, that was a little on-going joke as Andy was bulldozing the competition to the championship. If we combined the father/son combo, they were only 7-9 in division play ;) Curt really caught some bad luck, and I know he lost Kiki Cuyler for 3 games due to an injury (we just go with the J rating as the number of games they miss, and ’27 Cuyler is a J3). Again, I cannot say enough what a pleasure it was have the Bartel father/son combo attending our 3rd tournament. Curt says they will be back next October!

  2. Congratulations Andy on your championship. I enjoyed playing against you back in February. Say hello to your dad from me.
