Yes, the indubitably reliable organizer of the Chicagoland APBA Tournaments was quite the hippie back in the day. As someone who used to have long hair, I’m almost jealous of your golden locks, Jim!. In the photo, he is shaking the hand of Cardinal speedster Lou Brock at a sporting goods store in Richmond, Virginia.

Jim, I’m wondering if you were a Cubs fan at the time.
I was a huge Cubs fan at the time. I remember someone asking Lou who the toughest catcher to run on for him was in his career. I was thinking to myself he’ll say Johnny Bench. Nope. He said without hesitation former Cub catcher John Bocabella. Still wish I had that hair!
